How to Measure Wiper Blades

Measure the old blade from tip to tip in inches, then round down to the nearest even inch (Clix sizes run in even inches, so an OEM 21" blade becomes 20"). Measure the driver and passenger blades separately, since they're often different sizes.

What do I need to measure wiper blades?

A tape measure or ruler. No tools are needed to lift the arm.

How do I measure a wiper blade, step by step?

  1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
  2. Measure the blade from one end to the other.
  3. Round down to the nearest even inch. Clix blades come in even sizes, so a 21" OEM blade takes a 20" Clix blade (for example, OEM 24"/21" becomes Clix 24"/20"). We've sized this way for years without fit problems.
  4. Repeat for the passenger side and the rear wiper, if you have one.
  5. Note the arm type. See Wiper Arm Identification.

Should I measure the blade or the windshield?

Measure the blade. Windshield size doesn't give you the blade length.

What if my old blade is missing or the wrong size?

Look up your vehicle instead with the Vehicle Finder. Each vehicle page lists the sizes by model year.

What's the longest blade you sell?

Our blades go up to 40". Long sizes are common on RVs, buses and trucks; see RV wipers and bus wipers.

I have my size. Where do I buy?

Shop by size. The Clix snap-on hook replaces in seconds.
