What Size Windshield Wipers Do I Need? Find Your Fit in Seconds

Most passenger vehicles use two different-sized front blades — for example a 26" driver paired with a 16" passenger — plus a shorter rear blade on many SUVs, hatchbacks, and vans. The fastest way to get your exact sizes is to enter your vehicle in our finder; we keep verified blade sizes for 2,500+ cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, and heavy-duty trucks.

Three ways to find your wiper size

1. Use the vehicle finder (easiest, no measuring). Pick your year, make, and model and we'll show the exact driver- and passenger-side sizes that fit — guaranteed. Find your vehicle. Already know your measurement? Shop by size instead.

2. Check your owner's manual. Manufacturers list front (and rear) wiper sizes in the maintenance or specifications section.

3. Measure your current blade. Lay a tape measure along the rubber blade from end to end and read the length in inches. Measure the driver and passenger blades separately — they're often different.

How to measure a wiper blade (step by step)

  1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield.
  2. Lay a tape measure along the blade from one tip to the other.
  3. Round to the nearest inch and note the driver and passenger sizes separately.
  4. Repeat for the rear blade if your vehicle has one.

Measured an odd number? Wiper blades come in even-inch sizes. If you measure an odd length — say 21" — round down to the nearest even size (20") for the correct fit.

Driver and passenger blades are usually different sizes

On most vehicles the two front blades aren't the same length, which is why our fronts are sold as matched pairs (like a 26" paired with a 16"). The finder and our size listings always give you both so you order the right combination the first time.

What about the rear wiper?

Many SUVs, hatchbacks, minivans, and wagons have a rear wiper — typically shorter than the fronts (often in the 11"–16" range). Rear blades also use different attachment styles than fronts, so match both the size and the arm type. Shop rear blades by size.

Big vehicles: RV and heavy-duty sizes

Motorhomes, RVs, and heavy-duty trucks run much larger blades — we carry sizes up to 40". Use the vehicle finder or browse RV wipers and heavy-duty truck wipers directly.

Size isn't the only thing — check your arm type

Two vehicles can take the same blade length but a different wiper arm connector (hook, pinch tab, top button, and more). The wrong connector won't clip on, so confirm your arm style too. Our Wiper Arm Identification guide walks through every front and rear arm with photos.
